Learning more about Greywater Systems with Amy Jones

“Amy Jones is a parent at Sequoyah who is a landscape designer who works with Greywater corps. On this sip field trip we learned about what the main sources for Greywater are (showers, bathtubs, washing machines), and how drought tolerant plants aren't able to take a constant source of water and Greywater cannot be stored, or it becomes septic, so Greywater can only really be used to water berries, fruit trees, veggies, crops, and lawns. From this visit we learned that these Greywater systems help to prevent the unnecessary use of clean water.” - Elsa Thordarson
