Building a Road to the Future, One Bike at a Time

On October 13th, 2023, Advanced Impact Project SIP Teams students visited Re:Ciclos, a local Los Angeles non-profit whose mission is to create wider access to cargo bicycle technology and empower youth in black and brown communities. Students were hosted by founder, Jimmy Lizama, and introduced to the world of sustainable transportation and advocacy and its unique financial model.

“We visited Relampago Wheelery (Re:Ciclos), where we learned about their mission to provide bikes those who don’t have access to them for a multitude of reasons. They do this to encourage more people to use bicycles to replace car infrastructure, which is incredibly harmful to daily life and the environment- such an awesome organization! I felt so welcome and their mission very much resonated with me.”
